083122 - Back School Event
Great day at Josephine's Place yesterday. We hosted about 100 moms and kids for our special Back to School Celebration.

More than 65 children received backpacks and much needed school supplies. The afternoon was special with a visit by Mayor J. Christian Bollwage of Elizabeth. Thank you Mayor Bollwage for coming and talking to our kids and for the back packs and school supplies provided by the City!!! Fun was had by all.

The event was kicked off by with "Music For All Season's" - David Rimelis and his Uncle Dave's Music Party. We also thank Assemblywoman Annette Quijano for her contributions of backpacks and supplies, as well as Phillips 66, Advantage Marketing and the generous donors who helped make this day possible. We are still accepting donations to help defray the costs. Visit our website: www.josephinesplace.org if you would like to contribute.

We are seeing a significant increase in the needs in our community. We are pleased to help ease the financial burden of going back to school. Thank you to our friends and donors who help us deliver on our mission to empower and educate.
